Use the XForms Mobile app “natively” on any laptop
We’ve enhanced the Progressive Web Application (PWA) technology of the XForms’ mobile app, so now you can download and use XForms Mobile on any laptop, even in offline mode. The downloadable PWA is lightweight (it can download to your PC or Mac in seconds) and is full-featured. This means that every single control….camera, photo attachment, signature pad, PDF viewer, etc works just like it does on iOS and Android.

How to download XForms Mobile PWA
- Launch either Microsoft Edge or Google’s Chrome browser and enter “app.xformsweb.com” into the address bar.
- On the right side of the address bar, you will notice a little “download app” icon. Click this icon.
- Follow instructions from there.
Here’s what this looks like on Chrome
Installation Screen. Click the little icon in the address bar and then on the Install button.
App settings screen. Make sure you give the app appropriate permissions to capture geolocation, drive the camera, etc.
Here’s what this looks like on Microsoft Edge

That’s really it. You can run XForms PWA in online and offline modes, and the user experience is virtually identical to iOS and Android, except that you have a larger/wider screen. Here’s a gif of XForms PWA in action on a Mac.
