What does it cost to get form templates built by your team?
You can build form templates on your own for free using our Form Template Designer, and we can teach you how to use it via some Zoom meetings. If you prefer to have us build your initial batch of form templates for you, there is a fee to do that. Check out our pricing page for special bundles and other pricing details.
Mobile App
Where can I download the mobile app?
You can download our mobile app from either the iOS app store or the Google Play (Android) store. Links to each can be found on our downloads page: https://xformsmobile.com/mobile/#download
Does the mobile app work on iPad or Android tablets?
Does the mobile app work in offline mode?
Does the mobile app work on a web browser?
All elements of the web version of the mobile app function the same as the native app, including accessing the camera for photo capture and—to some extent—even geolocation capture. While not fully tested, the web version of the mobile app should also work in offline mode. This is is possible due to the progressive web app (PWA) architecture of the mobile app.
A typical use case for the web version of the mobile app is for transposing checklist/form info that was filled out on traditional paper in the field into XForms by your clerical staff.
What's the login URL for the web version of the mobile app?

What's the login URL for the admin and reporting dashboard?
How do I add users to the system?
Once added, you can disable this user, force change their password, or change their permission levels.
See screenshot below for reference.
Can I export all of my data out of XForms?
All your form data is also exportable via an Excel download, including geolocation (lat/long) and other metadata. To download, click on the 3-dot elipses on the top left of the screen.
See screenshot below for reference.
Can my clients log into the dashboard and view their projects?
To do this, navigate to Admin > Users, add a new user, and pick “Client” from the Role listbox. Then click on the gear icon and choose which projects they should have access to. When they log in, they will only be able to view projects you have given them access to.
Security
What do you do to ensure my data is secure?
There is a firewall layer between the apps (mobile and web) and the APIs that power the system.
Access to the database is only via the APIs.
There is no direct access to the datastore.
You can also define your own password policies in Admin > Users. See screenshot below for the password policies feature of the system.

Tips and Best Practices
- It’s good practice to reboot your device before deploying to the field. This will clear out memory issues before they become a problem, especially if you plan on taking pictures with the app.
- If you know you will be going to a remote area with poor internet connectivity (i.e., 2 bars or less), its best to run the app in offline mode. To do this:
1.Tap on the “Sync Offline Data” menu while still in the office or area with good internet connectivity.
2.Then flip your device to airplane mode and use the app as needed, filling out forms and submitting them.
3.When back in the office or area with good connectivity, turn off airplane mode. The system will prompt you to sync your submitted forms.
- When you submit forms, please don’t turn off your device while the “please wait” alert is displayed. Doing so increases the chances of data loss during synchronization.

User screen
Tips and best practices
- Use the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, or MS Edge. Firefox also works, but may have some issues. This does NOT work on Internet Explorer.
- If you encounter issues, try doing a browser hard refresh by holding down the CTRL key (Windows) or Shift key (Mac) and clicking on the refresh icon. You can also try running it in an incognito/private browser window, which will ignore saved cookies.
- If the PDF on the PDF screen looks wrong/wonky, click on the refresh icon to re-generate a new version.
- If you want to change your password, click on the person silhouette at the top right of the screen (not on your user record in Admin > Users
- If you want to save an image from a form, go to the Forms screen, click on the eyeball icon (the HTML viewer), scroll to the photo you want to save, right-click on it, and click on the Save Image As… menu option
